Addiction

crossroads

Alcohol and drug abuse causes mental, social, and emotional harm to individuals and people close to them. One third of all suicides are substance abuse related. Many people who abuse drugs and alcohol are self-medicating unrest within themselves. Self-medicating usually works for a limited time but eventually adds fuel to the inner conflict. Breaking free of addiction can feel like an impossible task. This feeling of helplessness can cause increased alcohol and drug use. By using a combination of techniques, you can break free from the control of addiction.

I use a combination of harm-reduction, 12-step work, mediation, spirituality, and eco-counseling. I have practiced various techniques over the last eleven years. I believe that my combination of recovery practices give people a greater chance of long-term sobriety and a regained appreciation for life.
