Mike Haber MA, Counseling Psychology

I believe a sustainable way of living can be achieved by creating an integral relationship between a person and nature.  Today’s busy digital world can leave us feeling stressed, anxious, and numb. Many research studies recognize links between a person’s wellbeing and interacting with nature.

Ecopsychology integrates psychology and ecology, supporting an emotionally and ecologically healthy lifestyle.  When we develop a deep bond to the natural world, we begin to feel less stress, anxiety, and grief.  Ecopsychology allows us to rediscover a way of living that restores balance to one’s life by rebuilding a reciprocal relationship between humans and nature.  I support individuals, families, and groups on the following matters:

  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Family Dynamics
  • Addiction and Recovery
  • Mindful Meditation
  • Nature Deficit Related Issues
  • Spiritual Dilemmas
  • Grief and Loss
  • Or simply the desire to deepen your own self-knowledge and awareness.

A basic part of ecopsychology practice is taking the counseling sessions out of the traditional office building and into the park, arboretum or similar natural setting.

Sliding Scale: $40 ~ $80

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.  ~John Burroughs
